Vilmos Szladovics was born in Nemesrádó on 10 January 1931. He started painting and drawing at an early age.
He studied to become an interior designer at the Academy of Applied Arts and received his degree in 1956.
He worked at the Commercial Designer Firm as an interior designer but he did not give up painting. From 1969 he lived in Germany. First he worked as an architect planning fairs. From 1972 his main field was painting but he accepted several architectural commissions as well. Among others, he took part in planning the underground line in Bonn.
From 1976 he was a permanent solo exhibitor at a well-known gallery, called EP Gallery, in Düsseldorf. His paintings were shown in several countries in Europe. In 2003 he returned home and lived in Budapest until his death on 24 August 2008. In accordance with his will, he was buried in his home village. In Hungary he had his last exhibition in 1963. His works are nearly completely unknown to the public.
