Vladimir Szabó
The hungarian graphic art in the last century gave several significant lifework to the
history of european fine art. One of the most excellent was Szabó Vladimir, whom drawing was a lifestyle, not only a way of thinking. – he has belonged to the great master of drawing.
Even thought the longer intermission, he was filling up, and saved power to the keen work.
Szabó Vladimir was born in 1905 in Balassagyarmat, but he moved with his parents to Budapest, and became a student of Fine Art College in Budapest. His masters were Ágoston Benkhard, Gyula Rudnay, István Csók, János Vaszary. 1930- 1934 he lived as scolar in Italy, during the stay he was honored by Szinyei Graphic Award. He took part of exibitions in Hungary and in other contries (among other things: Nemzeti Szalon, Képcsarnok, in Roma, in Paris), during he was decorate for illustration works (in 1943), Munkácsy Award (in 1953),
Gold Degree of Merit's Work (in 1973).In 1980 Szabó Vladimir was the Excellent Artist of Hungarian Republic.After his death in 1991 december 31 his painter and grahic artwork has been shown by several exibitions.
