Szladovics Vilmos Gusztáv meghívó előlap

The Jászi Gallery in Budapest makes a discovery of the artworks of Gusztáv Vilmos Szladovics, the artist who has died lately, by the exhibition and at the same time they commit themselves to his recognition in Hungary and help to get the life-work known by the public.

 

The artist was born in Nemesrádó in 1931.He studied to become an interior designer at the Academy of Applied Arts and received his degree in1956. From 1969 he lived in Germany. First he worked as an architect. From 1972 his main field was painting. From 1976 he was a permanent solo exhibitor at a well known gallery in Düsseldorf. His paintings were shown in several countries in Europe. In 2003 he returned home and lived in Budapest. He died in 2008. In Hungary he had his last exhibition in 1963. As the first stage of a serial exhibition the Jászi Gallery organizes a show of the oil paintings and water-colours of Gusztáv Vilmos Szladovics. The exhibited art works have been unknown by the public until now. The pictures on display are originated from different periods of the life-work. His pictures attract the attention of the visitor at once with their intense depth and with decorativeness at the same time. He reaches this impact with extremely profound and clear composition, picturesque variety of forms, extremely absorbed technique and remarkable colourite. His paintings are lyric-abstract works with geometrical forms.

 

The life-work which was hidden until now, can attract the attention of professionals and the public as well. Showing pictures of Vilmos Gusztáv Szladovics is a real professional relevance.
